🏆1st Place in Troon🏆

We are absolutely thrilled to have won the West of Scotland entertainment contest, held in Troon yesterday!

Massive thank you to our Associate Conductor, Paul Drury, for his hard work in selecting our programme and preparing the band for yesterday’s performance. This contest was Paul’s first competitive appearance with the band in 14 years. What a way to return!

The band thoroughly enjoyed performing on stage and are so proud to have emerged victorious in a competitive field of top-quality bands. In particular, congratulations to Coalburn Brass Band Family on 2nd place and Irvine and Dreghorn Brass on ‘most entertaining band’ and 3rd overall!

This was a special day for one of our members, as Ruth Kelly celebrated her birthday contesting with the band! We’re sure she had a great day anyway, but this was certainly the icing on the cake!
