🎵Drury Service Begins at Kinneil🎵

We are delighted to announce that Paul Drury has been appointed as our new Associate Conductor!Paul will be working in this new conducting capacity alongside our Musical Director Allan Ramsay.

A popular figure in Scottish brass banding, Paul has a 20 plus year association with Kinneil Band as a player, conductor, and composer. He also has strong family ties to the band with his wife, Fiona, playing 2nd trombone, and his two daughters playing cornet in our youth band. Paul’s eldest daughter, Beth, is also an established member of our back row team at only 12 years old!

Paul began his musical career playing within the Salvation army and brings with him a wealth of experience as a conductor. He has led bands such as Annan Town, Dunaskin Doon, Kingdom Brass, Lochgelly and the Tullis Russell Mills Band. He is currently the Musical Director of Clackmannan District Brass Band.

A bands spokesperson said “Securing both Paul and Allan as our conducting team and our new relationship with UNITE Scotland promises to bring a refreshed and exciting future for Kinneil Band. Paul is very familiar face within the Kinneil family, and we are excited to start our new partnership beginning with the bands Annual Concert being held in Fisons Bo’ness on Thursday 29th May.”

The band would like to thank our previous Resident Conductor, Joshua Parkhill, for his hard work over the last two years, and wish him all the best for the future.
